The event will feature panel discussions and 1-to-1 meetings between country and US agency experts and Delaware businesses looking to export and invest in Africa, featuring the Embassies of Cote d’Ivoire and Djibouti, the Center for Global Africa, and Renew Capital, a significant impact investor in Africa. It will take place Tuesday, April 16, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the University & Whist Club, 805 North Broom Street, Wilmington. Keynote remarks will be delivered by former U.S. Ambassador Joseph Huggins, the Secretary of State’s Special Representative to the Southern Africa Development Community and former US Ambassador to Botswana. Prior to Botswana, Huggins served as Executive Director for the Bureau of African Affairs, working closely with the Assistant Secretary of State for Africa in formulating policy and resource requirements for our Embassies in Africa. Officials from the U.S. Commercial Service, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and the Corporate Council on Africa will also speak.
